When I waded into creating a business blog through Design Sherpa, it was with a bit of fear and trepidation. As a sole proprietor, I am often caught in the struggle of how to balance marketing efforts (which the blog is part of) with providing great design services to my clients. You have patiently guided me to provide you and your art department with just the input you needed to create a great looking, fun, and interesting blog. You’ve taken the time to get to know me well enough to search out subject matter to post about that really fits who I am (which is not at all generic!). And, most importantly, you have been not only a great teacher, but have inspired me to really take my blog to a whole new level to improve my marketing reach. In fact, I’m in the process of putting the finishing details on my first really comprehensive marketing plan, of which my blog will be the creative centerpiece. I have a schedule of blog post themes laid out for the year which tie into direct mail, e-mail blasts, advertisements, lectures and even product development.
